All of us are touched by loss. In fact, one thing we can be sure of is that loss is a certainty. However, how we make sense of it and grow around it is anything but certain. There are so many ways we make sense of loss. And before we explore this some more, I think it is useful to be reminded that the amount you love does not need to equal the amount you grieve.

Go through your diary or phone, scroll through your social media page for your year’s highlights. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and a reason to celebrate. Spend a good amount of time on this and “let it be fun”.
I LOVE winter. To me it means tropical island and mid winter get- aways. It didn’t always mean get aways… it used to mean hard yards and freezing cold. But I decided to change things up a bit and make life a little more fun. Many years ago I decided I would travel every year. It was a promise I made to myself. There are so many places in the world I want to see and it won’t happen if you leave for “one day”. I figured I would start where I was at and commit to one country a year.
